HILLSDALE COUNTY — A Hillsdale Township child was seriously injured in an incident involving a golf cart on Saturday.

The 4-year-old boy was injured Saturday afternoon after falling out of a golf cart and then being run over by another cart at a Hillsdale Township campground, according to the Michigan State Police.

The child was airlifted to St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, and was last reported to be in “stable” condition, according to an MSP press release.

The cause of the incident is still being investigated, police said.

MSP was assisted on the scene by the Reading Emergency Ambulance.
