An Avengers-themed land at Disney’s California resort will debut with a sandwich of epic proportions – and a price to match.
The new $100 sandwich will be available at Disneyland’s Avengers Campus when it opens on Friday, June 4, at the Anaheim, Calif.-resort, according to a news release.
Inside the Avengers Campus, guests will be invited to team up with the Avengers and their allies to become the next generation of superheroes. The immersive experience ranges from attractions to encounters to dining. Four new dining spots inside the campus feature “unique stories and adventurous menus,” including the Pym Test Kitchen.
The Pym Test Kitchen, inspired by Antman and The Wasp, features “inventive-sized” dishes from tiny treats to the huge “Quantum-sized Pym-ini Sandwich.”
Priced at the $99.99, the menu says the “Quantum-sized Pym-ini Sandwich” is big enough to feed six to eight hungry adventurers. The giant panini features salami, rosemary ham, provolone cheese and sun-dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia bread, served with marinara dipping sauce and arugula salad.
“Pym food scientists” at work in the kitchen lab use blue and red “Pym particles” and a “quantum tunnel” to grow and shrink dishes. The particles are applied to utensils and serving plates as well.
Other dining options at the Avengers Campus include the Pym Tasting Lab, featuring adult beverages; Shawarma Palace, inspired by the Avengers’ visit to a shawarma joint after the Battle of New York; and Terran Treats, a collection of intergalactic sweets from Taneleer Tivan, also known as The Collector.
