FLINT – The regional tournaments are in the books and the four state championships are next on the high school golf schedule June 11-12.

The Division 1 state tournament will be at Forest Akers West in East Lansing, Division 2 is at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek, Division 3 is at The Meadows in Allendale and Division 4 is at The Fortress in Frankenmuth.

Here is a look at how Flint-area players and teams fared in the regionals.

Division 1

At Saginaw Valley Public Golf Course

Fenton’s Dylan Davidson qualified for the Division 1 state tournament as an individual by winning the regional. He shot 72 to win by one shot to lead Fenton to a 13th-place finish.

Lapeer narrowly missed qualifying as a team by finishing fourth with a score of 319. Traverse City West was first with 313 followed by Traverse City (316) and Saginaw Heritage (318).

Collin Mullaney led Lapeer with 77, Mason Cooper shot 79, Justin Pohl carded 80, Lucas Skwirsk shot 83 and Easton Callans carded 85.

Davison was 12 with 348. The Cardinals were led by Tyler Gist with 82, Jack Barnes with 84 and Ryan Bougie with 89.

Grand Blanc was 14th with 350. The Bobcats were led by Jack Keyes with 83, Logan Carlson with 85 and Carson Barcey with 87.

Swartz Creek was 17th with 371. The Dragons were led by Connor Jewell with 89. Flushing was 18th with 392. The Raiders were led by Carson Ward with 93.

Genesee County Boys Golf Championship

Division 2

At The Pohl Cat

No. 1-ranked Powers Catholic finished second with a score of 329, one shot behind Williamston. Haslett was third with 330.

Sophomore Robert Burns of Powers finished tied for third with a score of 76. Luke Cramer added 79 for the Chargers, Cooper Lloyd-Gerhardt shot 86, Chris Jones carded 88 and Kyle Barbour shot 89.

Lake Fenton was ninth with 376. Avery Schaal, the Genesee County tournament champion, qualified for the state tournament as an individual by shooting 81.

Linden finished 12th with 395. Andrew Skellenger led the Eagles with 86. Clio was 14th with 405. The Mustangs were led by Carson Paling with 91.

At Huron Meadows Metropark

Ortonville Brandon was the top Flint-area team, finishing seventh with a score of 357. Gavin Stamper shot 84 to lead the Blackhawks, who got 85 from Nicholas Forbes. Holly was eighth with 361 led by Sammy Fleischer with 89, Goodrich was 10th with 373 led by Drew Burk with 90, and North Branch was 13th with 403 led by Tucker Hebberd with 97.

Genesee County Boys Golf Championship

Division 3

At Timber Ridge Golf Club

Durand was the only Flint-area team in the field, shooting 391 to finish 12th. Elijah Beland led the Railroaders with 85 and Jacob Johnson shot 88.

At Hidden Oaks Golf Club

Corunna shot 413 to finish 10th. The Cavaliers were led by Nick Crowe with 84. Montrose was 15th with 523. The Rams were led by Ian Murray with 112.

Division 4

At Scenic Golf & Country Club

The only Flint-area golfers in the field were New Lothrop’s Noah Ruddy and Gabriel Salsgiver. They shot 92 and 98, respectively.
