ANN ARBOR, MI – A garage and all of its contents were destroyed just after midnight Monday when fire sparked and burned it to the ground, officials said.

Fire crews were called at 12:34 a.m. May 31, to a home in the area of Maple Road and Dexter Avenue for a detached garage on fire, according to the Ann Arbor Fire Department.

Crews arrived to find the garage fully engulfed in flames and went to work to extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to adjacent buildings, officials said.

The fire was quickly extinguished, but not before the heat caused minor damage to a nearby home, officials said.

There were no injuries reported and the cause of the fire is undetermined due to the extent of the damage, officials said.
