PITTSFIELD TWP., MI – An Ypsilanti Township man was taken to the hospital in critical condition after being stabbed multiple times in a Pittsfield Township business Saturday night.
Police were called at 6:33 p.m. Saturday, May 22, to a business in the 3100 block of Ann Arbor-Saline Road for a reported stabbing that had just occurred, according to the Pittsfield Township Police Department.
Officers found the victim, 22, stabbed multiple times and was taken to an area hospital in critical condition. He has since stabilized and is expected to recover, police said.
The stabbing suspect, a 38-year-old Pittsfield Township man, was arrested at the scene and taken to the Washtenaw County Jail, police said.
The victim and the suspect were known to each other, though it is unknown what spurred the attack, police said.
A second victim, a 53-year-old Ypsilanti Township man, suffered minor injuries while trying to intervene between the two men. He has since been treated for his injuries, police said.
The suspect is current awaiting attempted murder charges from the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office.
No additional information is available at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
