ISABELLA COUNTY, MI – State police confirmed Sunday they are investigating a sexual assault and homicide situation in Isabella County.
Troopers and detectives responded to a sexual assault and homicide allegation at 3:15 a.m., June 6 to a South Isabella Road residence in Union Township next to Mount Pleasant, said the Michigan State Police in a release.
Investigators have information on a potential subject and are pursuing them at this time, police said. This suspect does not appear to be an immediate public threat, according to the release.
The MSP Crime Lab out of Lansing is processing the scene, police said. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
Troopers received assistance from the Isabella County Sheriff’s Office and the county’s central dispatch, as well Mount Pleasant, Saginaw Chippewa Tribal and Central Michigan University police.
