JACKSON, MI — Patrons of The Hunt Club of Jackson got a show with their dinner on Thursday, after a short chase ended with a utility vehicle flipped on its side in the parking lot.

At about 4:30 p.m. on June 3, a Jackson police officer attempted to stop a 2017 Honda Side-By-Side in the area of Michigan Avenue and Higby Street. The vehicle had been reported stolen earlier in the day from an address on Ann Arbor Road in Leoni Township, said Jackson Police and Fire Services Director Elmer Hitt.

The driver attempted to flee, resulting in a short pursuit before the vehicle lost control and flipped onto its side in the parking lot of the Hunt Club, Hitt said.

The driver, a 25-year-old man, exited and ran from the vehicle, but was quickly apprehended and taken into custody to be lodged at the Jackson County Jail, after being cleared for minor injuries, Hitt said.
