BELLAIRE, MICH. — Fans of Short’s Brewing Co. no longer are limited to bringing Short’s to their parties — they can bring their parties to Short’s.
The Northern Michigan craft brew giant this week unveiled a new private dining and events space named The South End, designed to host parties of up to 50 guests.
To make room for the new space, Short’s moved its company merchandise store, Short’s Mart, to a larger area in its Bellaire brewpub complex’s north end. The newly christened South End — its name an tribute to the popular sandbar on Torch Lake and the company’s love of water — boasts an open layout and original tin ceilings.
According to Short’s, possible event set ups range from “business casual to wedding fancy,” with packages that include options for audio-visual setups, plated meals, pizza parties, and BYO taco bars.
“The experience at the Pub is so unique, we strive for excellent customer service and value, and know that we can do the same for larger parties who are looking for a destination with character,” said Erin Kuethe, Short’s pub’s general manager. “We can’t wait to host special events and make them even more special.”
The South End is now booking events for summer 2021, with more information available online at shortsbrewing.com/the-south-end.
